Abstract

628,129. Electrolytic polishing. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Sept. 27, 1946, No. 28921. Convention date, March 15, 1943. [Class 41] [Also in Group XL (a)] Graphite is anodically polished by treatment in a bath of molten fluoride, for example a bath of molten potassium hydrofluoride which is not entirely anhydrous. The polished graphite may be used as the anode in a gas or vapourfilled current-converting tube.
