Abstract
550,176. Polishing magnesium &c. MAGNESIUM METAL CORPORATION; Ltd., and PEARSON, W. K. J. June 21, 1941, No. 7848. [Class 41] Magnesium and magnesium base alloys are polished by anodic treatment in a substantially non-aqueous electrolyte consisting of a solution of either perchloric or hydrochloric acid in ethylene glycol monoethyl ether. Additions of sugars, glue or other nitrogen-containing compounds, and benzene derivatives may be made. Specification 550,175 is referred to.
