623,850. Grilling stoves. FRIEDMAN, L. May 19, 1947, No. 13419. [Class 126] A gas heated grill comprises a base with a back-plate supporting a burner tube frame having non-aerated burner jets arranged on opposite sides to impinge on the underside of a fret of heat-resisting metal carried by and spaced from the topplate also supported by the back-plate, the top-plate being provided with openings having depending baffles extending towards the fret and a hood fitted over and spaced from the openings. Non-aerated flames from gas jets 13 impinge on sheet-metal frets 17 supported by lugs 18, 20 depending from top-plate 14, the combustion gases escaping through openings surrounded by baffies 22 in the top-plate 14. The top-plate 14 and burner frame 6 are supported by corner lugs 15 on the backplate 5 behind which a pipe 8 conveys gas to the jets 13, a space 16 being provided between the top-plate 14 and the backplate 5. A hood 23 is supported by lugs 24 over the openings in the top-plate 14 so that combustion gases may escape through spaces 26 between the hood 23 and the top-plate 14.
