Class 126 A stove comprises a ceramic plate burner and a chimney 10 perforated over its whole height and mounted above, and slightly spaced from, the burner plate and on its vertical axis. The chimney 10 may be supported by the burner or, as shown, by independent means 11. Secondary air for combustion enters below the chimney and through the perforations causing the flame to burn through the whole chimney and ensuring complete combustion. The chimney 10 may be partially surrounded by a reflector and may support a plate-type grill at its upper end or a rotary grill mounted within the tube adjacent its upper end.
