894,027. Combined solid and liquid fuel stoves. WEBASTO-WERK G.m.b.H. Oct. 13, 1960 [Nov. 13, 1959], No. 35151/60. Class 126 A stove adapted to burn solid or liquid fuel comprises a cylindrical combustion chamber having at one end an aperture to which a liquid fuel burner may be connected and having a grate mounted between its ends, a second aperture being provided at or near the opposite end and the stove being carried by a support so as to be operable in a vertical or horizontal position. As shown, a combustion chamber 1 supported by a frame 2 has a branch 3 to which a flue pipe 4 may be assembled and a grate 5 for supporting solid fuel. Air is admitted and ashes may be removed through an aperture 6. A liquid fuel burner may be connected to the aperture 6 but for liquid fuel burning the stove is preferably turned over on its side with the aperture 6 uppermost and the burner connected to the aperture 3 and the pipe 4 to the aperture 6. The grate 5 acts as a flame spreader.
