Abstract

623,562. Reciprocating pumps. ABRAHAMSEN, R. June 28, 1946, No. 19437. Convention date, Aug. 21, 1940. [Class 102(i)] An apparatus for delivering measured quantities of liquid, such as tomato juice, consists of a liquid container connected to an inlet port 3 of a cylinder 1 containing a piston 9 driven by a connecting rod 5 and a screwed-in crank pin 10 in a crank disc 7 rotated by a hand lever 13. The crank pin 10 is adjustable radially, being carried by a block 11 slideable in a groove in the crank disc 7 and locked in position by the screwed crank pin 10. A sleeve valve 14 having slots 18 therein slides within the cylinder and controls the inlet and outlet ports. The valve 14 is operated by means of a rod 15 and a cam track 17 in the crank disc 7.
