623,234. Door bolts. BARBIER, A. P. April 16, 1947, No. 10091 and 10092. Convention dates, April 19, 1946, and Sept. 17, 1946. [Class 44] The bolt 3 of an existing door lock is connected to actuate upper and lower vertical bolts 13 by a cross piece 1 secured to the rear end of the bolt and hinged to arcuate members 6 engaging terminal portions 12 of the vertical bolts. The arcuate member has a slot 7 for engagement by a guide pin 8 fixed to a plate 9 on the door. A pin 10 on the arcuate member engages a slot 11 in the end portion of the bolt. In a modification the arcuate member has no slot, being guided by a bridge piece secured to the door e.g. by woodscrews.
