Abstract

622,720. Bobbins ; controlling delivery of yarn in twisting-machines. COURTAULDS, Ltd., and HARTLEY, J. K. April 2, 1947, No. 8915. [Classes 120 (ii) and 120 (iii)] A flanged bobbin for use in conjunction with a flyer in a crepe yarn twisting-machine has an annular channel 2 surrounding the bore and in the channel a spring-pressed annular cap 4 which projects beyond the top of the bobbin 1 so that it can press against the flyer hub and brake the flyer 10 sufficiently to bring it to rest at the same speed as the bobbin, when the bobbin is stopped. A flanged collar 3 is fitted within the annular channel 2 and a coiled spring 5 is held between the base of the channel 2 and the top of the cap 4. Specification 387.430 is referred to.
