Abstract
622,029. Rocket dischargers. SCHERMULY, C. D., SCHERMULY, A. J., and SCHERMULY, C. March 4, 1947, No. 6095. [Class 9 (ii)] A discharger for rockets, flares and the like consists of a metal holder 1 with a flange 2 for attachment to a wooden base 3, a terminal 5 being screwed into the holder which accommodates a wooden plug 7 holding a brass contact 9, into which is screwed a terminal screw 10 in an insulating sleeve 11. The terminals 5, 10 are connected through a switch 14 to an electric battery 15. When a rocket of the kind described in Specification 622,030 is inserted in the discharger a contact 12 on the rocket casing makes contact with the holder and a contact 13 at the base of the rocket makes contact with the contact 9. By closing the switch 14 the electrical circuit is closed and the rocket ignited.
