Abstract

621,927. Winding yarn &c. COURTAULDS, Ltd., and DFAN, C. A. Jan. 24, 1947, No. 2243. [Class 120 (ii)] In traversing mechanism for yarn rewinding machines &c. of the kind comprising a pair of parallel externally screw-threaded rollers 1, 2 and a screw-engaging member, which may comprise a grooved wheel 12, located between the rollers and mounted on a hinged frame 13 connected to a traversing rail 21, stops 3, 4 are provided on the ends of the rollers to effect swinging the member 12 from engagement with one roller into engagement with the other roller, a fixed locking bar 18 being provided to hold the member 12 in engagement' with the threads of the respective rollers. The frame 13 carries a projection 17 which rides alternately along opposite faces of the bar 18 and at the ends of its traverse passes through gateways provided in the lower face of the bar 18.
