Abstract

1,205,879. Yarn traverse means. PLUTTE, KOECKE & CO. 10 Oct., 1968, No. 48154/68. Heading D1J. A roller 8 Fig. 2 carried by a pair of parallel endless chain 5, 5', rotating round sprocket wheels 3, 4 is housed in a slot 9 of a slide 14 to cause the slide to traverse yarn onto a spool 13. To ensure a substantially constant traverse velocity of the slide 14 the slot 9 is made of rhombic shape Fig. 5 and is divided into two sub-grooves 18', 18" by a pivotally movable check plate 19 subject to a spring biasing force, said sub-grooves being inclined to the longitudinal line of traverse, A or B, with the roller 8 engaging in the rear-ward sub-groove in relation to the direction of movement of the slide.
