621,548. Bogie king-pin arrangements. SCHWEIZERISCHE LOKOMOTIVUND MASCHINENFABRIK. Feb. 18, 1947, No. 4638. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1946. [Class 103 (vi)] A king-pin arrangement for bogie frames of the type in which longitudinal rods 27, 28 extend between a transverse member 25 pivoted on the king-pin 23 and the crossbearers 30. Secured to the undercarriage 13 (or to the bogieframe if the king-pin 23 is secured to the undercarriage) is characterized in that the rods 27, 28 extend in opposite directions from the king-pin 23 and that the bearers 30 are disposed fore-andaft thereof. In the form shown, the king-pin 23 is mounted at the centre of a longitudinal bolster 24 secured at its ends to the centres of two crossbearers 5 forming part of the bogieframe and from which are suspended by swing links 7 the beams 6 which have forked ends 8 connected to the supporting springs 9.
