Axle-trucks and bogies; springs, arrangement of, and mounting bodies on.-A bogie frame 1 is supported on longitudinal side beams 4 by means of springs 3. The side beams are rigidly connected together by cross-members 5 and the end of each beam is suspended from a lug 7 on an axle-box 2 by a pin 6. Each beam 4 may consist of two parallel bars. Thus, the rigid frame 4, 5 is suspended from all the journal boxes at positions immediately below the axes of the axles received in the box, and the latter will be permitted to turn about the axes of the pins 6 with respect to the frame 4, 5 but are prevented from individual tilting transversely of the frame.
