Abstract
620,293. Tubular heat-exchange elements CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO., Ltd., WILLETT, S. E., and EDGE, S. H. Jan. 15, 1947, No. 1421. [Class 64(iii)] In an air heater, e.g. for vehicles, aircraft cabins &c., a tube a, coiled in a flat spiral is wound with radially projecting wire loops b and connected to a central and a peripheral header or other means communicating with a source supplying hot water, e.g. an engine cooling system. A number of spiral tubes may be interconnected and arranged close together in a common casing, and a fan may blow or draw air over the tubes. Specifications 271,122, [Class 64(iii)], and 561,785 are referred to.
