[Class 35] A permanent magnet rotor has spindle parts extending from opposite ends of an intermediate part having a transverse slot for the passage of a bar magnet, the parts being bonded by non-magnetic material. As shown, the intermediate part a is traversed by the magnet e and both are secured to spindle parts not shown by aluminium h cast in position.
