604,613. Permanent magnet machines. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Nov. 28, 1945, No. 32153. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1940. [Class 35] A magneto-electric system, e.g. for a bicycle dynamo or hand dynamo comprises a stator and a rotor 1 of which one is wholly or partly of permanent magnet alloy having a steep demagnetisation curve and a coercive force of at least 250 Oerstedt and is provided with a magnetic shunt on the other such that during operation the working point on the demagnetisation curve varies only to an immaterial extent ; this working point is preferably near the BHmax. Specifications 444,642 and 522,731, [Group II], are referred to.
