616,126. Locking device for cycle parts. DURAND, M. P. Aug. 28, 1946, Nos. 25802 and 25803. Convention dates, Nov. 8, 1944, and Dec. 4, 1944. [Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] In a device for locking an object inside a hollow cylindrical body of the kind comprising a semicylindrical wedge bearing directly against the inner wall of the hollow body and acting on a slope of similar shape provided on or secured to the object to be fastened, the wedge is notched so as to offer only a restricted medial zone in contact with the inner surface of the cylindrical body. As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, 10 is the sleeve, 13 the wedging piece recessed at 14 and acting on a sloped surface 15 of a column 16. The wedge is pulled up by a long screw 17. A tail-piece may be attached to the wedge threaded at its upper end to receive the pull of a short screw or the tail-piece may have a thread screwed by a blind nut.
