614,350. Connecting links. STEVENS, A. H. (Electric Steel Foundry). July 11, 1946, No. 20754. [Class 24] A connecting link for chains comprises a pair of U-shaped members 10, 11, each having two arms 14, 15 provided with aligned openings 17, 18 shaped to receive a non-circular uniting pin 12, the arm 14 being thicker than the other arm 15 and deflected inwardly, each arm 14 having a recess 20 which snugly receives a lug 21 on the arm 15. The opposed surfaces of the arms 14 are notched at 22 to receive a keeper pin. The uniting pin 12 preferably has two flat sides joined by convexly arcuate portions.
