613,504. Automatic' firearms. REISING, E. G. Jan. 27, 1943, No. 1-7657/48. Divided out of 604,348. Drawings to Specification. [Class 119] The sliding breech-block of an automatic firearm is tilted by an action bar, when in the breech closing- position into engagement with a bevelled shoulder of the fixed casing, such engagement by frictionalaction serving, todelay or retard the rearward movement of the breech-block. Further, a reciprocating firing hammer is arranged to co-operate with a firing pin in the breech-block its aperture being large enough to receive the firing pin, and the arrangement being such that firing occurs only when the breech-block is tilted, thus bringing the pin and aperture out of alignment. The gun described and illustrated is the same as that described in Specification 604,348.
