[Class 135] The tubular casing a of an air or gas safety valve for a pressure tank is closed by a cap k, at one end and formed at the other end with a threaded extension b for connection to the tank. A raised annular seating j, surrounding the inner end of an axial bore in the extension b, co-operates with an oil resistant pad h of, e.g. neoprene, to control the flow of air or gas to vent ports in the casing. The pad h is carried by a spring-loaded hexagonal holder g.
