603,420. Turning. ALEXANDER, G. H., and WRIGHT, F. Oct. 22, 1945, No. 27692. [Class 83 (iii)] A turret a mounted on a slide b has a ratchet plate d and a notched indexing plate e mounted on the turret axis, a spring-loaded slidable pawl g engaging the indexing plate, and a pair of toggle links i connected to the slide and pawl respectively, their interconnected ends being acted upon by a stationary ramp k to withdraw the pawl. The interconnected ends of the toggle links may be provided with a roller j which contacts the ramp and the ratchet plate for rotating the turret co-operates with a roller on the end of a stop lever held against rotation in one direction but capable of limited movement in the opposite direction against a spring-pressed plunger.
