[Class 80 (i)] [Also in Group XXX] A tensioning device for endless belts comprises a non-rotatable spindle 5, on which the driven roller 3 is mounted, the ends of the spindle being mounted in slots 6 in bearing blocks 4, slidable in guides 7. The blocks 4 carry screws 13 passing through holes 14 in the guide ends 15, and are positioned by nuts 16, By these means one block may be adjusted at a time, the slot 6 allowing the spindle 5 to be.inclined during the adjustment.
