Abstract

697,901. Roller-way conveyers. HANCOCK, R. G. June 19, 1950. [June 20, 1949] No. 16378/49. Class 78 (i). Rollers 7, Fig. 2, journaled inside brackets 3 of movable frame 4, are driven from v-pulley 10 of motor 12 by rope 9, the rope 9 passing through and frictionally contacting grooves in the rollers and around adjustable tensioning pulleys 13, 14, 15 and 16. There may be two such ropes operating in corresponding grooves ; and two such conveyers may be such that the said driving rope or ropes of one conveyer drives the end roller of the other conveyer. Each roller may be formed in two portions 33 and 34, Fig. 5, joined together by grooved centre-piece 31.
