[Class 78(i)] In twisting a conveying belt 17 through, say, 90 degrees, support is given at the twist by a series of parallel endless strips or ropes 23. These may be separate endless strips passing round pulleys 19 or may form integral ribs on the endless belt itself and may be so shaped as to form a clearance between pulley and belt to avoid friction.
