Abstract

[Also in Division A4] Apparatus for supporting a shower head 7 comprises a slide 4 carrying the head 7 and slidably mounted on a vertical, channel section rail 1 supported by and between two wallmounted end pieces 2, 3, a pair of pulleys 8, 9 carrying an endless cable 5 and mounted within the respective end pieces 2, 3, and a knob 18 on the shaft 17 of one pulley, the knob 18 providing means for rotating the shaft 17 to frictionally drive the cable 5 to one run of which the slide 4 is clamped. The upper pulley 8 is carried in a strap 14 which is displaceable by a screw 15 to adjust the tension in the cable 5. The head 7 may be rigid with the slide 4. Alternatively the head 7 has a socket 7a which detachably engages a stud 6a on the slide 4.
