[Classes 80(i) and 80(ii)] In potters' jiggers or like mechanism in which the jigger or like head, mounted on spindle e, is rotated by an endless belt g, the latter is brought into and out of engagement with the driving pulley h of a stationary motor h<SP>1</SP> by means of a pulley i<SP>1</SP> mounted on a bar i slidable in slots in the machine frame a, b. On pressing a knob j<SP>2</SP> in a slidable bar j, the bar i is moved by means of a cam slot j<SP>3</SP> engaging a stud i<SP>2</SP> on the bar i. In a modification the pulley i<SP>1</SP> is dispensed with, and the pulley f is slidably mounted to bring the belt into and out of engagement with the driving motor h<SP>1</SP>.
