Abstract
627,716. Kinematograph intermittent filmfeed mechanism. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Oct. 10, 1946, No. 30309. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1943. [Class 97 (i)] The mechanism comprises a beater roller located between a film guide, provided with a film gate, and a continuouslyrotatable driving roller, the film guide being provided with an extension over which is moved substantially the whole length of the film section between the film gate and the beater roller, whereby the formation of uncontrolled film loops is prevented and the correct length of film is fed each time. As shown, the film 1 passes between a film guide 2, having a film gate 4; and a pressure member 3, and is driven continuously by a toothed roller 6. Intermittent movement of the film through the film gate is effected by a reciprocating beater roller 8 which is located so that, when in its full line position, the film 1 moves along an extension of the film guide 2. Preferably, the distance between the beater roller when in this position and the extension or roller 6 is approximately three times the film thickness.
