Kinematograph apparatus.-Intermittent-feed mechanism comprises a roller reciprocating in a. straight line parallel to the path of the film through the gate. As shown in Fig. 2 (Prov.) the roller 1 is carried bv a bracket 2 on a slide 3 which is reciprocated vertically by a cam 5 acting through a roller 8 and against the action of a spring 9. One continuous-feed sprocket serves to feed the film to the gate and to receive the film from the roller 1. As shown in Fig. 1 (Comp.) the roller 14 is carried by a slide having a roller 18 engaging a surrounding cam 17 so as to be reciprocated thereby, and a masking roller 18a carried by a plate 23 is movable vertically by a pinion 21 engaging a rack 22 on the plate 23..
