[Classes 113 (i) and 114] For trimming a boat the power plant M is slidably mounted on two fore-and-aft tracks 8, its longitudinal motion being controlled by a hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly 36, 37, and a valve 45 actuated by means of a pendulum 55 when the stem 5 rises or sinks. Beneath the tracks 8 there is a transmission shaft 11 operatively connected by sprocket and belt systems in the housings 20 and 30 to the motor crank shaft and to the propeller shaft 23, the housing 20 being capable of sliding motion over the splined transmission shaft 11 to coincide with the motion of the power plant M. Hydraulic pressure is supplied by a motor-driven pump 66, the circuit also incorporating an oil cooler 70.
