599,043. Hinges. BAYLISS, JONES, & BAYLISS, Ltd., and MOORE, G. Sept. 13, 1945, No. 23584. [Class 65 (ii)] One element of a selfclosing gate hinge comprises a substantially quadrantshaped block adapted to be secured by welding or other means to the gate or gate post 10, the block having a recess in which is welded a hingepin 17 and the arcuate edge of the block having secured thereto a curved plate 19 with an inclined edge 20 terminated by the shoulders 21, 22. The other element is adapted to be secured to the gate post or gate 11 and consists of an eye 23 and a neck 25 to engage the hinge-pin and incline respectively.
