Abstract
596,603. Vibratory mechanism. WETTLAUFER, J. L. May 3, 1945, No. 11244. [Class 80(iv)] [Also in Groups II and VI] A vibrating device comprises a single weighted mass having aligned shafts or the protruding ends of a single shaft arranged eccentrically, a pulley on the mass concentric with a shaft, a rigid frame in which the shafts are journalled, an electric motor on the frame, and a driving belt from the motor engaging the pulley. As shown, a body 1 preferably of cast iron is provided with an eccentric shaft 6 mounted on bearings 7 which are secured in cylindrical recesses 8 between cross-bars 9, 10 of a frame. The bars 9 are supported on bars 13 resiliently secured to brackets 23 mounted in a casing 24. A plate 14 provided with an opening 15 extends across the bars 13 and supports an electric motor 19 connected to a pulley 5 on the body 1 by a belt 22. The motor is suspended from the plate 14 by means of bolts 16 and looped laminated plies of fabric and rubber. Weights may be added to the body 1. Specification 528,422, [Group VI], is referred to,
