Abstract
595,791. Davits. ROUSE, W. C., and MORLEY, W. E. Oct. 23,1944, Nos. 20450/44, 2075/45 and 24489/45. [Class 115] The gravity davit 17 in its outboard movement moves about two separate pivots successively, a fixed inboard pivot 20 and a second at the davit heel 22, connected to the pivot 20 by a link 21. The extent of the first movement is limited by the stop link 27, the subsequent movement of the davit being around the pivot 22 in the position shown. The link 24 carries the keel chocks 28a. In a modification, the stand 14 is replaced by a hinged frame attached only to a deck house. Specifications 220,972 and 303,847, [both in Class 115], are referred to in the first Provisional Specification.
