Abstract

743,995. Lifeboat &c. ladders. STEWART & CRAIG, Ltd., and FOSTER, E. A. Dec. 2, 1953 [Dec. 6, 1952], No. 31002/52. Class-20(2). A ladder 18 for gaining access to lifeboats &c. from the water is pivoted on eye 13a on an arm 13 mounted on a pivot 14 in the boat so that it may be swung into the boat and stowed inside the gunwale. The ladder may be a single pole 18 through which rungs 20 pass or to the exterior of which they are attached or the pole may be of flat section. The ladder may be the normal type with two styles.
