Abstract

922,065. Boat with outboard floats. D. P. WELMAN. Dec. 13, 1961 [Dec, 19, 1960], No. 43546/60. Class 113. An attachment for sailing boats comprises a cross-tube 4 detachably secured to the boat (by hinge type brackets 3) near the mast 5 and projecting on both sides of the boat with a float 9 at each end. The floats are mounted on the cross-tube by fittings 10 which allow the floats to pivot through a convenient angle e.g. 7¢ degrees bow down and 15 degrees stern down.
