930,558. Propeller recesses. FALMOUTH BOAT CONSTRUCTION Ltd. March 21, 1962 [Dec. 21, 1960], No. 43948/60. Classes 113 and 114. A boat or dinghy has a propeller tunnel constructed of a curved piece of flexible material 24 (e.g. plywood) which extends substantially horizontally as viewed in section across the centre-line of the boat, fits into the bottom of the boat amidships (just behind the step 18), is curved upwardly to a point above the propeller 26 and is continued into the transom 11, in combination with side walls 19, 20 (which replace the keel 17) which extend upwardly (with plywood sides 22, 23) from the bottom of the boat and which fit against the side edges of the curved member 24. The tunnel is enclosed beneath the propeller by a piece of sheet material 25 so that the propeller works in a square box.
