Abstract

A hull for a small motor-powered craft, including a transom stern 2 and chines 4 above which freeboard sides 5 from the stern terminate in a V-shaped bow 1 has a bottom structure comprising a bottom portion 6 extending from a keel 8 to the freeboard sides and transom stern, a plurality of longitudinal steps 9, 10, 11 on the bottom portion extending substantially parallel to the vertical plane 7 of the keel, while the cross-section of the bottom portion enter in a vertical plane perpendicular to the keel coincides with the equal sides of an isosceles triangle, the angle between the sides increasing in regular fashion from an acute angle in the forward part of the hull to an obtuse angle in the after port. The hull may be moulded in one piece from a laminate of fibreglass and resin. Offsets are given.
