Abstract

A vessel comprises two or more transversely spaced hulls, adjacent hulls of which are staggered in the fore-and-aft direction, the port and starboard hulls corresponding in shape to starboard and port halves respectively of a conventional hull. As shown, vessel 10 comprises a central hull 14 and two side hulls 12 and 16 interconnected by deck 18. The side hulls are similar to one half of the central hull 14. The extreme outboards surfaces 26, 28 of the vessel are flat. Fig. 2 (not shown) illustrates a twin-hulled vessel, both hulls being similar to one half of a conventional hull.
