Abstract

592,724. Electric radiators. PARISH, T. G. May 25, 1945, No. 13167. [Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] A reflector heater unit is pivotally mounted in a stand or tubular frame a by means of hollow trunnions through which pass bolts to secure the unit. Each bolt has a suitably shaped head (i<1> in Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) which fits against the back channel of the reflector f and prevents rotation of the bolt when a nut k is tightened. Alternatively the bolt is formed with the head k and engages a nut of semi-circular form. The frame a is of metal tubing or rod and may be made so that it must be slightly sprung apart to take the reflector, and so secures the latter in place while the bolts &c. are fitted. The trunnions c are formed with key-hole shaped ends c<1> nesting in sockets d in the side brackets e of the reflector, the sockets also holding the ends of guard wires l. Either or both of the trunnion members may be fluted or ratcheted to allow step-by-step adjustment of the reflector. A heating unit h may be supported in the manner described in Specification 542,278.
