Abstract

592,629. Pipe joints. KENCH, E. R. Feb. 13, 1945, No: 3536. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] In a coupling for two members of a supply valve for a water tank one member, viz., a valve body 21, having an eccentric flange 32 is secured to the other member, i.e., a water inlet fitting 12, by a nut 31 engaging the flange 32 and cooperating with a threaded eccentric flange 15 on the water inlet fitting. A hollow valve seat 25, screwed into the valve body and having a flange 29 for securing a sealing washer 37, has an extension 27 to engage a spring-loaded ball 19 which closes the water supply when the valve body is detached from the water inlet fitting.
