Abstract

586,038. Locks for cycle pumps. WOOD, R. June 12, 1944, No. 11166. [Class 136 (i)] A pump is locked to the frame of a cycle or motorcycle by means of two clips one of which contains the locking device, the upper clip A having an L-shaped spring plunger C to engage the pump. The plunger is provided at its free end with a hole D adapted to register with a hole E in the clip to which it may be secured by passing the hasp of a padlock through the two holes. In locked position, the free end of the plunger covers the head of a screw H by which the clip is secured to the bicycle frame. In a modification, the free end of the plunger extends to the side remote from the clip and is received between jaws having aligned holes to take the hasp of the padlock.
