[Class 44] Two parts, e.g. window sashes are secured together by a sliding spring shot bolt a mounted in a tubular casing f in one part h and engaging a socket k in the other. A detachable key l may be engaged with the bolt, e.g. by screwing into a threaded socket in the end, whereby the bolt is retracted. A projection g on the bolt slides in a slot b<SP>1</SP> and is adapted on rotation of the bolt to engage in a transverse slot b2 and retain the bolt in the retracted position.
