Abstract

584,595. Valve circuits; aerial feeding arrangements. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Jan. 8, 1945, No. 682. Convention date, March 29, 1944. [Class 40 (v)] In a circuit for distributing H.F. power among two or three loads, the source is coupled to a high impedance circuit balanced to earth, a pair of low impedance circuits being connected between each side of the circuit and earth, an output circuit being coupled to each low impedance circuit. An H.F. source 1, employing valves in push-pull, feeds, over a coupling link 5, an output stage 7 and also, over coupling link 10, the high impedance circuit comprising inductance 11, tuned by the split stator condenser 12. A low impedance circuit consisting of inductance 13 and condenser 14 is connected to one end of the induc- ,tance 11, coupling coil 17 feeding into a cable 18. By adjusting condensers 14, 16 the distribution of power between the two loads fed by the cables 18, 20 may be varied.
