583,724. Lamp-holders. LOWE, K. C. Nov. 23, 1944, No. 23273. [Class 38 (i)] A lamp-holder 3 having bayonet slots and contact plungers suitable for engaging a doubleended lamp is mounted so as to be movable axially and also rotatably to a limited extent. The holder 3 is provided with two threaded lock rings which grip a plate 8 permitting the holder 3 to move with a fixed tubular member 1 rotation being limited by a notch 9 engaging a ridge 7 inside the member 1. The holder 3 is pressed against the lamp by a spring 5, which abuts against a washer 6, bearing on screws 11 in a bracket 2, carrying the member 1. The bracket 2 is provided with a cover plate 12 and is fixed by lugs to a trough-shaped reflector 15. The other end of the lamp engages a fixed holder, both holders being covered by slidable white enamel - sleeves 16.
