563,667. Lamp-holders. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and REEVES, F. H. March 12, 1943, No. 4035. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for a tubular lamp is adjustably mounted in a flameproof terminal chamber. The holder f is carried by a bracket g that slides on a guide j and is pressed toward the lamp a by a spring h, providing an adjustment for variations in the length of the lamp. A transparent enclosure b for the lamp fits into a bush c supported and allowed slight endwise movement by an inverted U-shaped spring l engaging a peripheral groove c<1>. Access to the terminal chamber d is obtained by removing the lower part d<1>. Leads enter the chamber by a conduit d<3> and pass through spaced bushes e. The holder f is held in a retracted position by a spring catch m.
