Abstract
583,055. Galvanizing apparatus. SENIOR, J. H. and RUSTPROOF METAL WINDOW CO., Ltd. June 8, 1944, No. 10998. [Class 82 (ii)] Apparatus for use in the galvanizing of metal comprises a pot to contain the spelter which is made of, or lined with, a material which will not be attacked by the molten spelter at temperatures above 477 C. and an electric immersion heater or heaters disposed within the pots for heating the metal. In the form shown, the pot 11 is lined with refractory material not attacked by the molten spelter 12 and is provided with three separate immersion heaters a, b, c, which are individually controllable. The heaters may be in the form of a single heater with sections or elements which are individually controllable.
