[Class 107] A unit for the construction of a path comprises a pre-cast concrete slab having at its underside projecting spikes to be driven into the ground. In the form shown a reinforced rectangular slab 2 is provided at each corner with a reinforced spike 3. The reinforcing rods 7 may be used for securing together adjacent slabs and the spikes 3 may be detachable. One or more edges of the slab may be formed as a raised curb 4.
