578,634. Scaffolding clamps. LAMB, A. F. Jan. 15, 1944, No. 792. [Class 20 (ii)] A scaffolding clamp comprises a pair of sections b coupled for relative rotation by a pin a each section being constructed of hollow form, e.g., by cutting the sections from an extruded tube of the required cross section, or by welding sheet metal plates &c. Each section accommodates a pivot d for a cap c also of open construction, and a pivoted securing bolt e. The part f on the cap forming the bearing for the scaffold tube, is inset and located by lugs c' and shoulders c<4>, the bearing plate being extended to seat in the recess c' in the cap. both bearing plate and recess c<1 >being slotted to allow for the swinging movement of the clamping bolt e. The cap is provided with a lug c<5> to limit its movement when disengaged.
