Abstract

512,175. Pivot joints for tubes. DUGDILL & CO., Ltd., J., and DUGDILL, H. F. May 16, 1938, No. 14557. [Class 65 (ii)] Two tubes 11, 12 are forked at the ends to form two pairs of overlapping ears 11A, 12A connected by two coaxial pivot bolts 13. The bolts carry plates 14 provided with pins 19 which pass through the lugs 11A and enter holes 18 in clamping plates 16, to prevent relative rotation between the bolt, the ear 11A, and the plate 16. The ears are fixed in adjusted position by nuts 21 and spring washers 22.
