Abstract
577,005. Electron oscillators. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and FREMLIN, J. H. Aug. 2, 1940, No. 12517. [Class 39 (i)] In ultra-high-frequency electron discharge apparatus-such as described in Specification 537,490-wherein an electron stream passes through two successive gaps being modulated in the first gap between the fins 1, 2 and then imparting energy in the gap between the fins 4, 5 to reduce the field due to the oscillations in the first gap screens 7, 6 are attached to the inner and outer wall 12, 11 of the coaxial conductors forming the resonator. The fins 1, 2 and the screens 6, 7 may be replaced by a solid structure. As a result of the restricted gap, the drift space for bunching may be longer.
