Abstract
548,918. Electron-oscillators. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. May 16, 1941, No. 6351. Convention date, May 16, 1940. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (iii)] In apparatus of the kind described in Specification 541,477, in which a modulated beam of electrons induces oscillations in a resonant circuit comprising an outer cylinder 42, end discs 43, 44, and an inner cylinder consisting of two sections 40, 41 .separated by a gap, the edges of the ;gap are provided with point terminals 61, 63 at a distance less than the gap, in order to limit the voltage that can be built up. The points are preferably adjustable, being secured by set-screws which can be manipulated through openings in the outer cylinder. The electron discharge tube, with the circuits therefor, the cooling and electron-beam 'focusing means are 'as described in Specification 541,477.
